ClassCampus is an Internet/Intranet based learning and management system that provides educators with all the facilities they need to create a virtual community of on-line learners. By harnessing the power of the world-wide web and linking it to the classroom proven effectiveness of the LJ ClassAct management system, ClassCampus represents the next generation of managed learning environments. Using ClassCampus, schools, colleges, universities and training providers can create facilities where students can log on and learn from any Internet access point anywhere in the world. This flexibility of access, linked to the powerful student tracking system makes true distance learning possible without losing the vital link between the teacher and the student. With ClassCampus, help from an experienced tutor is always on hand either through our unique academic intervention system or through personalized intervention via email, with optional videoconference and electronic whiteboard support. The ClassCampus learning system comprises of several components, the key part being the on-line learning website. It is from here that students are able to logon and carry out programs of study. Tutors are also able to logon to the website and monitor and control student activities. Access to the on-line learning system can be setup for users on a local Intranet (LAN), a wide area network (WAN) or via the Internet. These tools provide the ability to generate tests and curriculum content that can be automatically marked to form part of the student record.
